Two 48 x 36 x 1.5 inch panels combine to create one painting. Painted together, they opened the door for the particular direction of this collection. Very much inspired by the Warpaint song and lyrics from “Champion” which I happened to be listening to as I worked. I realized later there was a locking in of communication, a pattern and a flow that began in that particular painting session that I did my best to align to everytime I worked after that, occasionally listening to the song on repeat. This painting is a visual description of the opening of that portal, the energetic structure that established that line of communication. Step one in the dispatches: Notes from the Cosmic Playground.
