stack
stack was created at the same time and with the same energy of first blush, lemon still, and bouquet I. It holds the discovery of a thick, rich application of oil paint and oil sticks in the final layer primarily applied with the oil stick and my hands with very little brush work. I consider this larger minimal abstract to be “the mother” of the other smaller paintings in this group which explore the boundaries of simple abstracted forms and their relation to the active space surrounding them
36 × 36 × 1.5 in
mixed media with oil paint and oil stick on canvas
created with archival materials and processes
gallery depth sides are painted in keeping with the face of the painting, which is offered stretched and wired for hanging
signed and titled on the back
certificate of sale will be provided
tax and shipping will be calculated on the next screen
available for pick up in Upper Manhattan
